Stationary Ballistic Separator
High-performance stationary ballistic separator for fixed-installation waste sorting plants — delivers consistent 2D/3D/fine separation with minimal maintenance.
About This Product
Duromech stationary ballistic separators classify mixed dry waste into rolling 3D fractions, flat 2D fractions and screened fines. Paddle angle, deck configuration and operating settings are selected for the feed composition, target throughput and downstream recovery process.

How It Works
Our ballistic separator operates with a series of six parallel paddles in orbital motion. This design maximizes separation efficiency by shaking incoming materials, allowing different materials to follow unique trajectories based on their physical characteristics.
- 1 2D materials (paper, cardboard, plastic film) — lightweight and flat materials slide downward on the paddle surfaces, collected at the bottom.
- 2 3D materials (bottles, cans, stones) — heavy and rolling materials bounce and roll upward along the paddles, exiting at the top.
- 3 Fine fractions — screened through perforated paddles and collected separately.
